Watercare in Auckland is seeking an Operations Engineer to support wastewater networks across our central Auckland operations. You will analyse fault and network data, scope capital renewals, and optimise maintenance programs to improve performance and reliability.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, experience across planning, operations and maintenance of wastewater assets, strong communication, and a NZ driver licence.

You’ll be involved in everything from scoping future works and delivering capital renewals to optimising maintenance programmes and responding to network incidents.Working closely with our operations, development, planning and project teams, you will:* Analyse fault and network data to identify opportunities to improve performance and optimise maintenance programmes* Scope and support capital renewal works, ensuring wastewater network assets meet current design requirements and standards* Review and monitor critical infrastructure work undertaken by internal teams and external contractors* Respond to and manage wastewater network incidents, working collaboratively to resolve issues and minimise disruption* Monitor environmental compliance and performance against customer service targets and KPIsAs part of the role, you’ll also participate in an after-hours on-call roster when required.**Ngā pūkenga e rapu nei mātou | About you**You’ll be a practical and confident engineer who enjoys getting to the heart of a problem and working with others to find the right solution.
