Job summary

Watercare is seeking a Process Technician for Army Bay Wastewater Treatment Plant, north of Auckland. You will monitor processes, collect samples and carry out inspections to ensure safe, efficient operations.

You will work with Process Engineers to identify improvements, perform minor maintenance, and contribute to data logging and reporting. On-call responsibilities form part of the role and you will be part of a supportive, hands-on team.

Qualifications

  • Experience in water or wastewater or transferable from a high-volume, continuous process environment.
  • Willingness to work towards a relevant qualification.
  • Strong hands-on approach with ability to work independently or in a team.
  • Full driver’s licence and on-call availability.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor plant processes, perform inspections and respond to alarms to keep operations safe and efficient.
  • Collaborate with Process Engineers to identify improvement opportunities and support projects.
  • Undertake minor maintenance, sample collection and onsite analysis.
  • Record operational data and complete required log sheets and reports.
  • Work both independently and as part of the team, including on-call rosters for after-hours incidents.
