Job summary

Tiaki Wai Limited in Wellington, NZ, is recruiting a senior engineer to lead 3-waters network investigations and optimise regional water infrastructure. Based in our Petone office, you will drive strategic planning, mentor graduates, and support capital programs and investment planning.

You will bring a civil engineering qualification (BEng) with strong experience in wastewater, stormwater or drinking water networks, plus excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Qualifications

• A relevant tertiary qualification such as a Bachelor of Engineering (preferably Civil Engineering). CPEng highly desired.
• Strong technical knowledge in wastewater, stormwater and/or drinking water networks
• Sharp investigative skills with a solutions focus
• Excellent relationship management skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

The remuneration midpoint for this role is $131,903.99 p.a. (including KiwiSaver) depending on skills and experience.

The opportunity

We are currently recruiting for an additional senior engineer! This role is suited to a technical professional with experience in 3-waters networks. It offers an opportunity to make a difference through optimising 3-waters systems across the Wellington Region. You will take the lead on strategic planning and delivering network investigations that will ultimately lead to improved reliability of 3-waters infrastructure for the community.

With a strong emphasis on collaboration this role will also see you:

• Involved in tactical planning across the region’s 3-waters networks
• Mentor and develop graduate and intermediate engineers
• Provide technical support for the capital program and investment planning

About You

To be successful in this role you will bring:
