Job summary

Find Recruitment in Wellington seeks an experienced Operations Analyst within the Enterprise Applications Services team. You will support core enterprise applications, resolve incidents, troubleshoot issues, and identify root causes while collaborating with platform specialists, vendors and technical teams.

You will also help reduce technical debt by automating routine operational tasks and improving application services, with a focus on data fixes, patches and deployments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4+ years' hands on experience as an Operations Analyst or Applications Analyst.
• Strong enterprise applications support experience.
• Solid experience with Incident and Problem Management processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform Incident and Problem Management to resolve and close out application issues
• Troubleshoot technical problems using logging, monitoring and analysis tools
• Identify root causes and coordinate the appropriate technical teams to resolve issues
• Develop minor changes, service requests and enhancements through configuration or scripting
• Deploy application patches and upgrades
• Identify opportunities to reduce technical debt and automate repeatable operational tasks
• Query data and undertake data fixes where required
• Support software licence management and application vendors
• Maintain service documentation, including relevant Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery processes
• Support application testing and Transition to Operations activities
• Work collaboratively with Solution Architects, Developers, Technical Specialists and operational teams
• Contribute to automated build, testing and deployment practices

Your new role:

As an Operations Analyst within the Enterprise Applications Services team, you will support a portfolio of core enterprise applications. Your focus will be resolving incidents, troubleshooting technical issues and identifying root causes, while working closely with platform specialists, technical teams and vendors. You will also help reduce technical debt by automating routine operational tasks and improving application services.

Requirements:

• Minimum 4+ years' hands on experience as an Operations Analyst or Applications Analyst
• Strong enterprise applications support experience
• Solid experience with Incident and Problem Management processes
• Proven ability to undertake technical analysis and identify root causes
• Experience using logging and monitoring tools
• Experience working with vendors supporting components of technology solutions
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience working within complex technology environments with multiple suppliers
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non technical stakeholders
• Basic understanding of application and infrastructure architecture
• Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent practical experience
• Exposure to ServiceNow, Maximo, licence management, vendor coordination, testing or Transition to Operations would be advantageous
• You must have a valid working visa for NZ.
