Job summary

NZX in Albany, Auckland, is seeking an Operations Analyst to support day-to-day processing across transfers, reconciliations and client requests within the Wealth Technologies platform.

You will build strong relationships with clients and internal teams, manage multiple tasks with accuracy, and contribute to external audits. A proactive, client-focused approach is essential.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years in similar industry (Custodian, Platform, Fund Manager, Broker, Registry).
• At least 2 years working in administration type roles within the finance industry.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word & Outlook essential.
• Understanding of Wrap Platforms, Portfolios & how they work.
• Previous experience on systems such as BANCs, NZ Clear, Bloomberg preferable but not essential.
• Tertiary Education preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Placing & Settling trades into the market for Managed Funds, Direct Equities, Fixed Interest Products etc.
• Processing of corporate actions.
• Monitoring exception reporting across a variety of different operational processes.
• Assisting with bulk transfer of assets/cash for advisor groups transferring onto the NZX WT platform.
• Assisting with the gathering of information required for annual external audits, including liaising directly with the auditors.
• Answering queries received from clients (advisers) & Issuers.

About the Opportunity

As an Operations Analyst at NZX, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our Wealth Technologies platform. You'll be responsible for delivering accurate and timely processing across transfers, reconciliations and client requests, while building strong relationships with clients and internal teams. This is a varied, hands-on position where attention to detail, strong communication, and a commitment to high-quality service are essential.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• At least 2 years in similar industry (Custodian, Platform, Fund Manager, Broker, Registry).

Additionally, you will have strong communication skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks, and experience working with investment platforms, custodians, or similar environments. A proactive, client-focused approach and confidence working with data and processes are key to success in this role. We're looking for an organised and detail-oriented professional with experience in financial services operations.

This role is a full-time permanent position in Albany, Auckland.
