Job summary

Aotearoa Infinite Academy in New Zealand seeks a certificated English teacher for Years 9-13 to deliver Pre-IGCSE, IGCSE, and NCEA Levels 2-3 coursework through live virtual classrooms. This fully remote role supports students nationwide while fostering a connected, wellbeing-focused learning community.

Qualifications

• NZ Teaching Registration is required.
• Certificated teacher with teaching qualification.

• Experience with online or blended learning.

The opportunity

Teach engaging English and Media Studies through live virtual classrooms to Years 9-13 students, delivering Pre-IGCSE, IGCSE, and NCEA Levels 2-3 curriculum. Work fully remotely from anywhere in New Zealand while building a supportive, connected learning community.

What you'll do

• Design personalised learning experiences
• Build trust-based relationships with students in a virtual environment
• Collaborate with a high-calibre team of innovative educators
• Support student progress through differentiated instruction
• Provide meaningful formative assessment, with quality feedback, feed-forward, and summative assessment, aligned to curriculum goals
• Contribute positively to the functioning and growth of the curriculum team
• Develop genuine partnerships with, and report to parents and caregivers to support learning

What we're looking for

• NZ Teaching Registration
• Teaching qualification and subject expertise
• Strong knowledge of NCEA curriculum (Levels 2-3)
• Excellent communication skills and comfort with digital technology
• IGCSE teaching experience
• Online or blended learning experience
• Familiarity with educational technology
