Job summary

Aotearoa Infinite Academy, New Zealand's first tuition-free online high school, is seeking a Certificated teacher to lead Mathematics and Statistics for Years 9–12.

Teach via live virtual classrooms, delivering Pre-IGCSE, IGCSE and NCEA Levels 2–3, and design personalised learning experiences. Work fully remotely from anywhere in New Zealand.

Collaborate with a high-calibre team, provide formative and summative assessment, and build partnerships with parents to support learner progress.

Qualifications

• NZ Teaching Registration is mandatory.
• Mathematics teaching qualification and subject expertise required.
• Strong knowledge of NCEA curriculum (Levels 2-3).
• Excellent communication skills and comfort with digital technology.
• IGCSE teaching experience.
• Experience with online or blended learning.
• Familiarity with educational technology and AI platforms.

We combine international (Pearson Edexcel pre‑IGCSE and IGCSE) and national (NCEA Levels 2 and 3) curricula with a flexible, virtual learning model that prioritises wellbeing, belonging, and personalised support.

The opportunity

Teach engaging mathematics through live virtual classrooms to Years 9-12 students, delivering Pre‑IGCSE, IGCSE and NCEA Levels 2-3 curriculum.

Work fully remotely from anywhere in New Zealand while building a supportive, connected learning community.

You'll:
