Job summary

Aotearoa Infinite Academy is New Zealand's first tuition-free online high school, delivering Pre-IGCSE, IGCSE, and NCEA Levels 2-3 through live virtual classrooms. This fully remote role supports Year 9-15 students with a focus on wellbeing, belonging and personalised support.

You will design engaging digital technology learning experiences, build strong relationships in a virtual setting, and collaborate with a high-calibre team to drive student progress and assessment outcomes.

Qualifications

• NZ Teaching Registration is required.
• Teaching qualification and subject expertise.
• Strong knowledge of NCEA Levels 2-3.
• IGCSE teaching experience is desirable.
• Experience with online or blended learning.

Responsibilities

• Deliver live virtual Technology lessons to Years 9-13.
• Design personalised learning experiences.
• Build trust-based relationships with students in a virtual setting.

We combine international (Pearson Edexcel pre-IGCSE and IGCSE) and national (NCEA Levels 2 and 3) curricula with a flexible, virtual learning model that prioritises wellbeing, belonging, and personalised support.

The opportunity

Teach engaging digital technology through live virtual classrooms to Years 9-13 students, delivering Pre-IGCSE, IGCSE, and NCEA Levels 2-3 curriculum. Work fully remotely from anywhere in New Zealand while building a supportive, connected learning community.

What you'll do

• Design personalised learning experiences
• Build trust-based relationships with students in a virtual environment
• Collaborate with a high-calibre team of innovative educators
• Support student progress through differentiated instruction
• Provide meaningful formative assessment, with quality feedback, feed-forward, and summative assessment, aligned to curriculum goals
• Contribute positively to the functioning and growth of the curriculum team
• Develop genuine partnerships with, and report to parents and caregivers to support learning
