Job summary

Aotearoa Infinite Academy is New Zealand's first tuition-free online high school delivering Pre-IGCSE, IGCSE and NCEA curricula to students nationwide. The technology-focused secondary role is fully remote, enabling you to teach Years 9–13 from anywhere in Aotearoa.

You will design personalised digital technology learning experiences, build strong relationships in a virtual setting, and collaborate with a high-calibre team of educators to support student progress and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Must hold NZ teaching registration and a recognised teaching qualification.
• Strong knowledge of the NZ NCEA Curriculum (Levels 2-3) and GCSE teaching experience is preferred.
• Experience with online or blended learning and comfort with digital tools.

Aotearoa Infinite Academy is New Zealand's first tuition-free online high school, pioneering accessible, world-class education for students in Years 9-13 across all of Aotearoa. We combine international (Pearson Edexcel pre-IGCSE and IGCSE) and national (NCEA Levels 2 and 3) curricula with a flexible, virtual learning model that prioritises wellbeing, belonging, and personalised support.

The opportunity

Teach engaging digital technology through live virtual classrooms to Years 9-13 students, delivering Pre-IGCSE, IGCSE, and NCEA Levels 2-3 curriculum. Work fully remotely from anywhere in New Zealand while building a supportive, connected learning community.

What you'll do

• Design personalised learning experiences
• Build trust-based relationships with students in a virtual environment
• Collaborate with a high-calibre team of innovative educators
• Support student progress through differentiated instruction
• Provide meaningful formative assessment, with quality feedback, feed-forward, and summative assessment, aligned to curriculum goals
• Contribute positively to the functioning and growth of the curriculum team
• Develop genuine partnerships with, and report to parents and caregivers to support learning
