Foodstuffs South Island Limited is seeking a reliable delivery driver to support our online orders channel in Christchurch. You will join a fast-paced, hands-on team and play a key role in getting orders delivered on time and to a high standard of service.

You will load, drive and unload efficiently, ensuring safety and accuracy while maintaining excellent customer interactions at every doorstep. A full, clean licence and strong teamwork will help you succeed in this role.

Qualifications

• Full, clean driver’s licence (class 1) required
• Good communication skills with team and customers
• Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
• Good physical fitness for lifting and operating equipment
• Attention to detail and accuracy in picking and delivering orders

We’re on the lookout for someone enthusiastic and reliable to join us in this exciting new role! You will work as part of a supportive team and play a key role in creating a great shopping experience for our online shopping customers.

If you love providing great customer service and are looking for a role where you are an important part of the operations, this is the job for you. This role involves packing customer orders into the delivery vehicle, ensuring orders are delivered on time and returning to store in the allocated timeframes.

The days and hours are:

Monday to Friday 8:30am-5pm

Our Online department is a core part of the Dry Goods department with our dedicated team working hard to fill customer orders daily. This role offers the opportunity to gain experience and develop skills across all of these areas – whether it’s picking an online order, helping customers or keeping our shelves full. You’ll work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment where collaboration and attention to detail are key attributes.

Your day to day:

• Loading and unloading delivery vehicles efficiently
• Delivering customer orders safely and professionally
• Providing outstanding customer service at every doorstep
• Adhering to all health and safety and food safety standards
• Picking customer orders in down time

What we need from you:

• A full, clean driver’s license is essential (class 1 required only)
• Great communication skills to work alongside the team and customers
• The ability to work independently, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
• A great work ethic and hardworking nature
• Good physical fitness for lifting and operating equipment
