We are seeking a dedicated Office Administrator to join the team at MPE Ltd in Invercargill, Southland. This is a permanent part-time position (5.5 hours per day) that starts as 2 days a week and over time will move to 5 days a week and at that time will then assume the role of Office Manager as our current one retires. You will plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our office environment. As Office Administrator you will be the backbone of our administrative operations, providing essential support to staff and management whilst maintaining professional standards and contributing to the overall success of the organisation.
Managing daily office operations, including telephone and email correspondence
Preparing and processing administrative documents, reports and correspondence
Accounts receivable & accounts payable
Payroll & employee administration
Customer Service & job administration
Job costing & work-in-progress administration
Health & safety administration
Business systems & process improvement
Proven experience as an Office Administrator or in a similar administrative support role
Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general IT competency
Attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work
Professional approach to confidential information and strong discretion
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
A proactive and flexible approach to problem-solving
Experience with accounting and job costing programs
Knowledge of office management software or systems would be beneficial
