National Certificate in Automotive Reglazing (NZQF Level 3)

Job description

Join us as an Autoglass Technician and become a key player in keeping people safe on the road. In this hands-on role, you will repair, replace, and recalibrate vehicle glass using cutting-edge tools and technology—delivering top-quality workmanship every time.

You’ll also be the face of our service, working directly with customers to provide expert advice, offer value-added products, and ensure every interaction is a great one. Your commitment to exceptional customer service will make a real difference.

We offer career development and experiences you won’t find anywhere else.
Our technicians get opportunities for paid short-term overseas assignments – this year alone, we’ve had team members working in Australia and Sweden! You’ll also get a chance to earn while you learn, completing a nationally recognised qualification on the job – all paid for.

Whether you're an experienced technician or ready to start a new and exciting career path, we offer a supportive team environment, comprehensive training, and opportunities to grow with us.

  • Location: Smith&Smith North Shore
  • Hours: 40 hours, rostered across the week (Mondays to Sundays)
What we’re looking for
  • Motivated people with a passion for hands‑on work, and a genuine interest in advancing technical skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • No prior Autoglass repair and replacement experience is necessary as we provide comprehensive training.
  • A passion for exceptional customer service.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and the ability to upsell value‑added products and services.
  • Physical capability to repetitively lift heavy items (25kg) during a normal working day.
  • A clean driver's license (restricted or full class) is a minimum requirement.
  • You must have unrestricted rights to work in New Zealand.
  • Must be willing to complete a drug and alcohol pre‑employment test as part of our selection process.
What we offer
  • Empowering leadership – Work with leaders who support, encourage, and help you grow. Full training towards a National Certificate in Automotive Reglazing (Level 3) NZQF and ongoing support to develop your knowledge, confidence and experience.
  • Top‑quality gear – We’ll provide your workwear and access to industry‑leading tools and equipment.
  • Wellness that works – Enjoy a comprehensive wellness programme, including free day‑to‑day health cover through Southern Cross to help you stay healthy and keep costs down.
  • Rewarding you – Access to a fantastic rewards programme.
  • $200 annual wellbeing fund – Use it for anything that supports your wellbeing, like gym memberships, health costs, sports gear, self‑development classes, or even a relaxing spa day.
  • Birthday leave – A paid day off on your birthday.
  • Support for new parents – Receive 10 days of paid leave to attend appointments or spend quality time bonding with your new family.
  • Give back to your community – Take a paid day each year to volunteer and make a difference in your local area.
  • Career development – We’re committed to helping you grow, with ongoing training and development opportunities.
  • Global opportunities – As part of the Belron® group, you’ll have access to career pathways not just across New Zealand, but around the world.
