Mountain Warehouse in Nelson is seeking an NZ Team Leader to guide and inspire the retail team, delivering a welcoming and vibrant shopping experience while driving sales and operational excellence.

You will coach and mentor staff, manage daily store operations, and lead visual merchandising to maintain high standards and customer satisfaction. This role emphasizes leadership, communication and a proactive approach to teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development:

• Oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing duties, to ensure smooth workflows.
• Lead engaging visual merchandising efforts to create a clean and inviting space for customers and colleagues alike.
• Prioritise Health & Safety, safeguarding the wellbeing of your team and customers.

Sales & Performance:

• Motivate your team to meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs.
• Identify growth opportunities for team members and suggest strategies for their development.

Customer Experience:

• Set the standard for exceptional customer service and ensure it’s delivered consistently.
• Resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally, creating memorable shopping experiences.
• Represent the Mountain Warehouse brand with enthusiasm and professionalism.
• Build connections within the local community, enhancing the store’s personal and welcoming atmosphere.
