We’re seeking an experienced infant and toddler kaiako with a current full practising certificateto join our Te Huihuinga room.
This role will suit someone whois passionate aboutinfant and toddler development and understands how important the early years are. You will be warm, bubbly and proactive, with leadership skills and a willingness to keep learning alongside others.
Whanaungatanga and manaakitanga are at the heart of your practice. You build trusting relationships where tamariki, whānau and colleagues and Kotahitanga underpins it all.
You have a strong understanding of social and emotional competence, supporting tamariki through sensitive responses, co-regulation and meaningful connection.
Responsive teaching comes naturally to you. You notice children’s cues, recognise their learning and respond thoughtfully to their interests, needs and individual rhythms. You create intentional environments that invite curiosity, exploration and growing independence.
You value meaningful rituals over simply following routines. Arrivals, kai, nappy changes and sleep become unhurried opportunities to nurture trust and belonging.
A te ao Māori lens, including confidence weaving te reo Māori and tikanga into everyday practice, would be a valued bonus.
Bring your strengths and help shape our infant and toddler space.
