Job summary

Westbury Pharmacy in Waikanae and Kilbirnie seeks dedicated Mobile Outreach Nurse Vaccinators to join our team, at either Waikanae or Kilbirnie.

You will administer vaccinations in community settings, maintain patient records, and provide education on vaccine benefits while ensuring cold chain integrity and infection control.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current NZ practising certificate.
• Valid Vaccination Certificate.
• Experience in vaccination services and community outreach preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Administer vaccinations in community settings and pharmacies (Waikanae, Kilbirnie).
• Maintain accurate patient records per legal/regulatory requirements.
• Provide education on vaccinations, side effects and benefits.
• Ensure cold chain management and proper vaccine storage.

Westbury Pharmacy in Waikanae and Unichem Kilbirnie Pharmacy are seeking dedicated and compassionate Mobile Outreach Nurse Vaccinators to join our team either in Waikanae or Kilbirnie.

We are looking for nurses to support our outreach team as well as on site vaccinators.

The successful candidate will provide high-quality vaccination services within the community, ensuring accessibility and convenience for patients in Waikanae and Kilbirnie areas.

Responsibilities:

• Administer vaccinations in various community settings, in the pharmacies, including resthome, homes, workplaces, and community centers.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Provide education and information to patients regarding vaccinations, including potential side effects and benefits.
• Ensure cold chain management and proper storage of vaccines.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to support public health initiatives.
• Engage with the community to promote vaccination uptake and awareness.
• Adhere to infection control policies and procedures.
• Report any adverse reactions to the appropriate authorities.
