Job summary

DuluxGroup Ltd. is seeking a hands-on Spray Equipment Technician primarily based at our Onehunga service centre in Auckland. You will diagnose faults, repair commercial spray equipment, and provide training and demonstrations to trade customers and staff.

Your role combines workshop repairs with field support, building strong relationships across our store network. You will diagnose mechanical and electrical faults, deliver product recommendations, and uphold safety and quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Experience servicing, maintaining, or repairing equipment, machinery, or tools.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical systems and perform basic electrical fault finding.
• Confidence communicating with customers and explaining technical concepts in simple terms.
• A practical, hands-on approach and strong attention to detail.
• Excellent organisation and self-management skills.
• Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and customer satisfaction.

What You'll Be Doing

Do you enjoy diagnosing faults, repairing equipment, and working directly with customers? We're looking for a hands‑on technical professional to become the trusted spray equipment expert across the Northern Region. The role combines workshop-based repairs with customer training, demonstrations, and field support, offering plenty of variety and autonomy.

Based primarily from our Onehunga service centre, you'll be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing spray equipment used by professional painters and trade customers. You'll also support customer training, product demonstrations, and equipment recommendations while building strong relationships across our store network and customer base.
