Job summary

Genesis is seeking an Environmental Manager for North Island Renewables to lead the environmental programme across our North Island assets, driving environmental excellence and compliant operations.

Reporting to the GM - Environment, you will manage consent acquisition and compliance, provide strategic environmental advice, build trusted relationships with mana whenua, regulators and communities, and guide a team of specialists to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science or related discipline with proven experience in environmental management.
• Strong knowledge of the Resource Management Act and resource consenting processes.
• Experience building positive relationships with mana whenua, councils, regulators and external stakeholders.
• Demonstrated leadership of a team of environmental professionals.
• Experience in the energy sector or complex infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Lead the environmental programme across North Island renewable generation assets to ensure environmental excellence.
• Manage resource consent acquisition and compliance.
• Provide strategic environmental advice to enable sustainable operations.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with mana whenua, regulators and community stakeholders.
• Guide a team of environmental specialists and drive continuous improvement.
