Job summary

ExtraStaff seeks experienced Class 5 Truck & Trailer Drivers for a nightshift role based in Christchurch, transporting aggregate across Canterbury. You will work between quarries and customer sites, bringing safety-focused, hands-on driving to busy environments.

The role requires a Full Class 5 Licence, proven Truck & Trailer experience, and the ability to operate Road Ranger gearboxes. Competitive hourly rates and ongoing opportunities are on offer.

About the Role

ExtraStaff are seeking experienced Class 5 Truck & Trailer Drivers for an immediate start, ongoing role with a leading Christchurch-based employer.

This is a nightshift position operating between quarries and customer sites, transporting aggregate and quarry materials across Canterbury. We're looking for confident, safety-focused drivers with strong truck and trailer experience who are comfortable operating in busy quarry and construction environments.

What We’re Looking For

• Full Class 5 License
• Proven Truck & Trailer experience
• Experience operating Road Ranger gearboxes
• Ability to jackknife trailers confidently

Requirements

• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
• Physically fit and capable of working long shifts
• Must have the legal right to work in New Zealand
• Previous heavy transport experience essential
• Ability to work ongoingnightshift hours
