Job summary

NZ Post in Masterton is hiring a Processing Officer for a fixed-term role through January 2027. You will sort, consolidate and dispatch parcels for delivery, working Tue-Sat mornings and earning a base hourly rate with a night-rate allowance.

Ideal candidates are reliable, physically able to lift up to 25 kg, with good spatial awareness and a safety-first mindset. Transport to work is required.

Qualifications

• Be available Tue-Sat 4:30am–8:30am until end Jan 2027.
• Physically able to lift up to 25 kg.
• Reliable transport to get to work.
• Eye for detail and good geographical knowledge.
• Team player and safety-conscious.

Responsibilities

• Sort, consolidate and dispatch parcels at Masterton branch.
• Process freight during peak periods, including Christmas.
• Maintain safe work practices and accurate records.
