Job summary

New Zealand Post in New Plymouth is seeking a Processing Officer to sort, consolidate and dispatch parcels at our Taranaki branch, supporting our courier network. This on-call role requires availability during late-night shifts (12:00 AM–5:30 AM), a willingness to start early or finish later in peak times, and reliable transport.

You’ll need energy for a physically demanding job and good attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Be available to work on call hours, as and when required (Depot operates Monday-Saturday, covering AM shifts 12AM - 5.30AM)
• Flexibility to start earlier or finish later when required during peak times
• Reliable transport to get to work on time
• Energy for a physically demanding role – can you lift up to 25kgs?
• An eye for detail and good geographical knowledge

Responsibilities

• Our Processing Officers create the magic by sorting, consolidating and dispatching parcels and freight at our Taranaki branch, ready for our couriers to deliver.
