Job summary

Presbyterian Support Otago in Dunedin is seeking a compassionate Health Care Assistant for St Andrews to support residents with personal care, mealtimes, and daily routines, helping them live happier, healthier lives.

Two permanent night-shift roles are available: 40 hours/week and 32 hours/week, with full training and opportunities to gain the Level 3 or 4 Certificate in Health and Wellbeing while you work.

Qualifications

• Empathy, compassion and patience are essential in daily resident care.
• Ability to work effectively within a team and support others.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with residents and families.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care, mobility and daily activities.
• Support with meals and getting residents to participate in daily routines.
• Provide companionship and contribute to a supportive, dignity-respecting environment.
