Job summary

Haka House Queenstown Lakefront is seeking a dedicated Night Manager to lead the hostel during night hours, ensuring guest safety, comfort, and smooth operations.

You’ll manage night audits, guest check-ins/outs, and coordinate with reception and finance teams while upholding Haka House standards and health & safety protocols.

Are you a night owl with a passion for hospitality and a knack for keeping things running smoothly after hours? Join our vibrant team at Haka House Queenstown Lakefront as ourNight Manager, where you'll be the heartbeat of our hostel during the twilight hours.

Location:Queenstown

What You'll Be Doing:

• Oversee the smooth operation of the hostel during the night, ensuring guest safety, comfort, and satisfaction.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness across all common areas, including reception.
• Complete accurate night audits and financial reports for all properties.
• Be the go-to person for guest check-ins, check-outs, payments, and reservation queries.
• Act as the face of management during night hours, handling guest requests and resolving issues with professionalism.
• Monitor security and ensure Health & Safety protocols are always followed.
• Support the Reservations team with overflow enquiries.

What You’ll Bring:

• Mews PMS & Nayax experience.
• Strong command of written and spoken English.
• Proven customer service experience and a passion for the Youth Tourism industry.
• Excellent time management, communication, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of your role.
• Proficiency in Excel and working with data sets.
• Experience working in a finance assistant or similar role desired.
• Sound knowledge of health and safety requirements.
