Job summary

Haka House Hostels in Wellington, New Zealand, is seeking a Part-Time Host / Housekeeper to join our award-winning team and help deliver a warm, home-like experience for travelers.

You’ll bring positive energy, strong time management and communication skills, and a keen eye for detail while working evenings and weekends on a rotating roster. A NZ passport or valid work visa is required.

Our properties set the standard for backpacker accommodation, and it’s our passionate, enthusiastic, and intuitive team that brings the Haka House vibe to life.

We’re after someone who:

• Brings positive energy and a can-do attitude (experience in hostels or hotels is a bonus, but not essential!)
• Has excellent time management and communication skills
• Is passionate about travel and Aotearoa
• Has a sharp eye for detail and takes pride in their work
• Can work evenings and weekends (minimum 10 hours per week on a rotating roster)
• Holds a valid NZ passport or work visa
