Job summary

Qualifications

• Must hold current annual practicing certificate.
• Must be registered as Medical Laboratory Technician with the Medical Sciences Council of New Zealand.
• Experience in a busy newborn/metabolic screening lab is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Pre-analytical sorting and checking of newborn screening cards.
• Punching and labeling cards.
• Perform analytical assays and ensure quality turnaround times.
• Assist with general admin tasks within the lab.
