Job summary

We're hiring: National Technical Manager - Automation & Access Solutions

We are looking for a motivated and experienced technical leader to join our high performing team in a full-time permanent role of 40 hours per week in Auckland. We are offering a competitive salary of NZD $80,000-$90,000 per annum

Position: National Technical Manager

As the National Technical Manager, you will lead and manage the national technical support function across New Zealand, overseeing automation, access control, parking, and entrance solutions.

You'll be responsible for ensuring high-quality technical support services are delivered to customers, installers, service partners and internal teams, while driving continuous improvement, operational efficiency and customer satisfaction across the full product lifecycle.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Lead national technical support operations and act as the key escalation point for complex customer and technical issues.
  • Develop and improve technical support processes, systems and procedures to ensure consistent and efficient service delivery.
  • Oversee product repairs, warranties, assembly processes and performance tracking to support effective customer outcomes.
  • Monitor technical performance, identify improvement opportunities and implement initiatives to enhance service efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop, coordinate and deliver technical training programmes for customers, installers and internal teams.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to sales teams for projects, tenders and customised customer solutions.
  • Manage, coach and develop technical staff to drive performance, capability and service excellence.
Ideal Background
  • Three (3) years' experience in automation, access control, electromechanical systems, entrance automation or related engineering technologies.
  • Demonstrated technical knowledge and practical experience with FAAC, Magnetic Automation and Centurion Systems product ranges.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and improve operational processes
  • Experience supporting sales or delivering technical input into projects
  • Experience in developing and delivering technical training programmes is preferred.
  • Experience in warranty, repair or after-sales service environments would be advantageous.
