Job summary

Teltherm Instruments – Auckland, North Island, is seeking a technically minded, customer-focused professional to combine technical sales, customer support, and sales administration. The role is office-based in Auckland with occasional customer visits and product demonstrations.

You will become the trusted contact for assigned customers, answering technical enquiries, preparing quotations, and supporting the external sales team.

Established in 1946, Teltherm Instruments has over 80 years of experience supplying, manufacturing, calibrating and servicing industrial instrumentation throughout New Zealand, Australia and the Pacific.

This role combines technical sales, customer support, and sales administration, making it perfect for someone who enjoys both people and technology.

About the Role

You'll become the trusted contact for assigned customers while supporting our external sales team. Every day is different. You will be answering technical enquiries, preparing quotations, identifying new opportunities or helping customers choose the right instrumentation for their application.

This is an office-based role with occasional customer visits and product demonstrations.

What You'll Be Doing

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who enjoys learning and has a genuine interest in engineering and technology.

Ideally you'll have:

  • Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Process Engineering or another technical qualification (Degree, Diploma or similar)
  • OR relevant technical industry experience
  • Excellent problem-solving ability
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • The ability to explain technical concepts in a simple way
  • Great organisational and time management skills
  • Confidence using computer systems and Microsoft Office
  • A full New Zealand Driver Licence
  • Previous experience in technical sales, industrial instrumentation, automation, calibration, manufacturing or engineering would be highly regarded but is not essential.
