Zusammenfassung

The New Zealand Intelligence Community is seeking expressions of interest from software engineers to join the Technology & Data team. You may be at Level 1, Level 2, or Level 3, contributing to design, build and integration of specialised applications for national security across the NZ Government.

You will collaborate with stakeholders, evaluate tools for security, develop features, and drive modern DevSecOps practices while supporting certification and operational handover.

Qualifikationen

• Experience with containers and Kubernetes fundamentals.
• Database fundamentals in ElasticSearch, Redis, MariaDB and Postgres.
• Comfort with the full SDLC and using CI/CD.
• Experience with RedHat OpenShift.
• Experience building complex workflow or rules engine-based solutions.
• Good understanding of applied DevSecOps.

Aufgaben

• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate ideas into detailed design specifications.
• Evaluate, procure and integrate tools meeting functional and security requirements.
• Develop new features or components when commercial solutions are unsuitable, incl. test planning and UAT.
• Monitor emerging technologies and recommend improvements for capability or efficiency.
• Produce clear support guides and maintain documentation for certification, accreditation, and hand‑over.
• Diagnose and resolve defects, optimise performance, and apply patches to codebases.
• Act as a technical advisor to other teams on architecture and best-practice usage.
