Job summary

New Zealand Post Group is seeking a National Fleet Manager for a 9-month fixed term based in Auckland (East Tamaki) or Christchurch. You will provide strategic and operational leadership across a nationwide fleet portfolio, ensuring assets are safe, compliant, cost-effective, and aligned with business objectives.

You will shape fleet strategy, asset lifecycle management, optimisation programmes and sustainability initiatives, leading decarbonisation, risk management and high-level stakeholder

Qualifications

• Significant experience in fleet management within a large organisation.
• Experience in asset lifecycle management and fleet optimisation.
• Strong stakeholder management at senior leadership level.

Responsibilities

• Develop a national fleet strategy and governance framework.
• Lead fleet asset planning and lifecycle development.
• Drive fleet optimisation, cost efficiency and performance gains.
• Lead decarbonisation and sustainability programmes.
• Manage fleet-related risk, compliance and safety outcomes.
• Build partnerships with operating leaders, finance and suppliers.
• Provide expert advice on fleet investments and business improvement.
