Job summary

Woolworths Group New Zealand is seeking a Last Mile Fleet Manager in Auckland to oversee fleet compliance, maintenance planning and contractor management. You will coordinate regional vehicle movements, ensure safety standards and collaborate with store teams and partners to deliver reliable service.

The role requires hands-on fleet experience, strong coordination skills and the ability to drive improvements across the last mile network.

Qualifications

• Proficient in fleet services including COF, engine services and registration.
• Experience with fleet chillers and compressor maintenance.
• Ensure vehicle compliance with health, safety, and audits.
• Skilled in using fleet management systems (Uptime, Fleetio, Eroad).
• Manage vehicle repairs, maintenance, floater pay sheets and rentals.
• Address driver/customer complaints and incident reporting/H&S.

Responsibilities

• Ensure vehicle compliance and proactive maintenance scheduling and planning.
• Build strong relationships with business partners and store teams.
• Oversee all Independent contractors within a region.
• Deliver exceptional service and optimize region-wide vehicle movements.
• Move vehicles around regions in line with BAU tasks.
• Address driver complaints and customer issues.
• Attend daily standup meetings and contribute to safety campaigns.
• Hold 6-monthly 1:1 meetings with contractors.
