Job summary

Service Foods in Wellington (Upper Hutt area) seeks a Warehouse Team Leader to support day-to-day operations, lead a small team, and ensure quality and safety across the facility. Immediate start with early morning hours and rostered Saturdays.

You will supervise staff, manage workflow, and coordinate with various departments to meet national contract requirements. The role emphasizes hands-on leadership in a fast-paced environment with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising or leading a team in warehouse/logistics.
• Class 2 driver's licence preferred.
• Forklift licence and practical experience.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with managing day-to-day warehouse operations.
• Oversee staff performance and address issues as required.
• Pick, pack, check, and wrap national orders.
• Provide relief driving support when needed (Class 2 preferred).
• Support Inwards Goods, receipting, credits, and stock corrections.
• Provide cover for Team Supervisor during leave.
• Maintain quality and food safety standards.
• Foster a collaborative team culture.
• Support roster planning and task allocation.
• Maintain a clean, safe, compliant work environment.
• Conduct training to upskill team members.
