Job summary

Recreational Services in the Waitaki region invites applications for a Mower Operator to join our outdoor maintenance team. This is a hands-on role focusing on parks and grounds upkeep, mowing, weed eating, and basic plant maintenance, with training provided as needed.

You'll work outside, require a current NZ driver’s licence (manual preferred) and a can-do attitude. The role offers development opportunities, annual reviews, and a wellness benefit as part of our team culture.

Qualifications

• Must hold a full, current New Zealand driver's licence.
• Manual transmission licence is an advantage.
• Ability to work outdoors and follow safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Mow, weed-eat and maintain grounds to a high standard.
• Perform basic mechanical maintenance of equipment.
• Uphold health and safety policies and present well-kept spaces.

Job description

If you enjoy working outdoors, possess an awesome work ethic and have your full NZ drivers' licence, then this role would suit you! We currently have a vacancy for a Mower Operator to join our high-performing Waitaki team.

What does a mower operator do you ask?

You will be responsible for general parks and grounds maintenance with activities including (and we will train you if you're not an expert), mowing, weed eating, basic mechanical maintenance of plant and ensuring that the grounds always look well presented. This is a varied, physical role upkeeping our local community, where you will be a highly valued member of the team!

• A full, current driver license with the ability to drive a manual - even better if you have a class 2 license.
