Job summary

Green by Nature in Masterton is looking for a Mower Operator to join our outdoor maintenance team. You’ll handle ride-on mowing, push mowing, weed eating and basic equipment upkeep while keeping grounds safe and presentable.

We value a strong work ethic, a full, current driver's license (manual preferred), and a willingness to learn. Training is provided where needed, and there are guaranteed hours with potential increases based on demand.

Qualifications

• Full, current driver license with the ability to drive a manual.
• Experience operating ride-on mowers and small plant equipment preferred.
• Physically fit and able; not just sitting on a mower every day.
• Basic computer skills will help with diaries and safety systems.
• Commitment to health and safety policies and a can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

Job description

If you enjoy working outdoors, possess an awesome work ethic and have your full licence, then this role would suit you! We currently have a vacancy for a Mower Operator to join our Masterton team!

What does a Mower Operator do you ask?

You will be responsible for general parks and grounds maintenance with tasks including (and we will train you if you're not an expert), ride on mowing, push mowing, weed eating and basic mechanical maintenance of your equipment. In a nutshell, your job is to ensure the grounds you look after are well presented, all whilst keeping things safe for the public, your team, and yourself.

Who We Are Looking For

Ideally, we would love someone who has experience operating ride-on mowers and small plant equipment, however, this is not a must. As long as you are a hard worker, with a passion for working outdoors and getting stuck in, then you would be a perfect candidate. Other success factors include:

• A full, current driver license with the ability to drive a manual. Even better if you have a class 2!
• The work we do is on display to the public so a desire to complete all tasks to the highest standard
• Physically fit and able - you won't just be sitting on a mower every day!
• Basic computer skills will be beneficial to use our mowing diaries and safety systems
• A commitment to upholding our company's Health and Safety policies
• A positive, can-do attitude, that shows a willingness to learn and grow
