City Care Property – Trentham Military Camp in Upper Hutt is seeking a Mower Operator to maintain parks, sports fields, and landscaped areas to a high standard. The role involves operating ride-on and pedestrian mowing equipment, performing routine maintenance, and working independently within a supportive team.

Located at Trentham Military Camp, you will help ensure safe, tidy grounds year-round while adhering to site requirements and health and safety practices.

Qualifications

• Experience mowing or parks maintenance.
• Ability to operate ride-on and pedestrian mowing equipment.
• Full Class 1 driver’s licence.
• Commitment to health, safety, and environmental practices.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work in a team.
• Legal right to work in New Zealand.
• Ability to pass pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol, and criminal history checks.

Responsibilities

• Operating ride-on, tractor-mounted, and pedestrian mowing equipment.
• Mowing, edging, line trimming, and general turf maintenance.
• Maintaining sports fields, open spaces, roadsides, and landscaped areas.
• Carrying out routine equipment checks and basic maintenance.
• Identifying and reporting hazards, equipment issues, or site defects.
• Working safely and following NZDF site requirements and security protocols.
• Delivering high-quality work that meets contract standards.

Citycare Property is looking for a Mower Operator to join our team at Trentham Military Camp. In this hands-on role, you'll help maintain the camp's parks, open spaces, sports fields, and landscaped areas to a high standard, ensuring they remain safe, tidy, and presentable year-round.

This is a great opportunity for someone with mowing or parks maintenance experience who enjoys working independently while being part of a supportive team.

Located in Upper Hutt, Trentham Military Camp is one of New Zealand's key Defence sites. Your work will directly contribute to maintaining an environment where NZDF personnel can train, work, and serve.

• Operating ride-on, tractor-mounted, and pedestrian mowing equipment
• Mowing, edging, line trimming, and general turf maintenance
• Maintaining sports fields, open spaces, roadsides, and landscaped areas
• Carrying out routine equipment checks and basic maintenance
