Job summary

Green by Nature, based in Wanaka, is seeking a Mower Operator to maintain parks across the Queenstown Lakes District from Wanaka. You will regularly mow, edge, and weed-eat, and perform routine maintenance on equipment to keep landscapes pristine.

Ideal candidates have experience with small and ride-on mowers, hold a current manual driver’s license, enjoy outdoor work, and are committed to health and safety policies.

• Full, current driver's license with manual capability essential.

To support our mission, we're seeking a Mower Operator.

What You'll Do:

As a Mower Operator, you'll be responsible for the scheduled mowing of various parks across the Queenstown Lakes District with your base being in Wanaka. Your role includes:

• Regularly mowing and maintaining parks to ensure optimal, high quality grass care
• Performing weed eating and edging to keep all areas looking pristine
• Conducting basic routine maintenance on equipment to ensure it remains in excellent working condition
• Ensuring parks meet the highest standards of presentation and client specifications

Who We're Looking For:

We're looking for someone with a strong work ethic and a passion for maintaining green spaces. Ideal candidates will have:

• Experience with small plant and ride-on mowers preferred
• A full, current driver's license with manual capability essential (class 2 is also highly advantageous)
• Enjoyment of outdoor work and pride in a job well done
• Physical fitness for the demands of Parks maintenance
• Basic computer skills for equipment and reporting tasks
• Commitment to our Health and Safety policies keeping yourself, your team and your community safe
• A positive, can-do attitude with a willingness to learn and grow
