New Zealand Post – East Tamaki, North Island

  • Shape how NZ Post's operational network works, connects and performs every day
  • Design and embed systems that drive accountability, performance and operational excellence
  • Partner with leaders across the business to drive lasting impact at scale
  • East Auckland based location

At NZ Post, delivering for Aotearoa takes great people, clear processes and strong operational discipline. As our MOS Specialist, you'll play a key role in the design, development and ongoing evolution of our Management Operating System (MOS) across Customer Service Delivery. You'll help create the operating rhythms, governance forums, performance frameworks and ways of working that connect our Processing, Last Mile and Network operations and enable teams to perform at their best.

Working as part of the Operational Excellence team and in partnership with Operational leaders and teams you'll turn strategy into practical systems that support performance, accountability and decision making. You'll play a leading role in embedding the MOS across the business, ensuring new ways of working are adopted, sustainable and deliver real operational value.

This is an opportunity to influence how work gets done across one of New Zealand's largest operational networks while helping shape the systems and structures that support successful delivery every day.

You’ll achieve that by:

  • Designing and evolving our Management Operating System (MOS) across Customer Service Delivery
  • Developing governance forums, operating rhythms and decision‑making frameworks that support performance and accountability
  • Creating and embedding practical ways of working that connect teams and functions across the operational network
  • Partnering with leaders and Continuous Improvement teams to implement and sustain MOS practices across operations
  • Use operational feedback and performance insights to continuously improve system effectiveness
  • Coach and support leaders and teams to confidently adopt new operating practices and ways of working

You're someone who naturally sees how the bigger picture fits together. You enjoy bringing structure to complexity, designing practical solutions and helping teams work more effectively. Whether you're working with frontline teams or senior leaders, you're skilled at building relationships, influencing stakeholders and creating alignment around a common way forward.

You’ll bring experience designing and implementing operating models, management operating systems or similar frameworks within complex operational environments. You're comfortable moving between strategic thinking and hands‑on delivery and know how to turn ideas into practical, sustainable ways of working that deliver measurable outcomes.

What you’ll bring:

  • Experience designing and implementing operating models, Management Operating Systems (MOS) or similar business frameworks
  • Strong systems thinking with the ability to design end‑to‑end ways of working across multiple teams and functions
  • Proven ability to influence and align stakeholders at all levels, from frontline teams to senior leaders
  • Experience designing governance structures, operating rhythms and performance management frameworks
  • Strong communication, facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience working in complex operational, logistics or supply chain environments is advantageous

At NZ Post, we aim to be the delivery business of choice for Aotearoa. With a focus on Parcels and the evolution of Mail we work together to deliver the best outcomes possible for our customers and our people. This is an exciting time to join us. You'll be part of a business in transformation, where your work will have real impact on how we deliver for Aotearoa now and into the future.

Applications for this position close on Tuesday 15 September 2026.

All successful applicants will be required to provide proof of their eligibility to work in New Zealand and will be subject to a security check and reference checks. Some of our roles may also require a credit check and/or a drug test.
