Planit Testing in Wellington is seeking a Quality Engineer Lead to drive mobile, API, UI and database testing across client projects. You will lead testing teams, shape test strategies, and collaborate with clients to ensure high-quality software delivery.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with Mobile app testing.
• Solid experience with API, Database, UI testing.
• Experience leading testing teams and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration to define test cases and acceptance criteria.
• Consulting role requiring adaptability and client-facing collaboration.
• Familiarity with test management tools (e.g. Jira, ADO) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review requirements for testability.
• Proven experience with Mobile app testing is essential.
• Solid experience with API, Database, UI testing.
• Contribute to test plans and other high level documentation where required
• Collaborate with clients for user and systems requirements when documentation is insufficient
• Experience leading testing teams and stakeholder management skills.
• Identify test conditions/ test objectives and derive test cases using advanced test techniques
• Identify and apply tools to assist with the acceleration of quality
• Create comprehensive test assets in the appropriate tools relevant to test conditions
• Utilise appropriate tools to execute test cases and report results
• Raise, track and close defects
• Be a good communicator, able to collaborate with client teams, people to define test cases and acceptance criteria
• Enjoy change and new challenges. This is a Consulting role
• Be passionate about quality practices within IT delivery
