Job summary

Opportunity Knocks is seeking an experienced Test Lead to drive QA across a major AI transformation programme, combining strategic leadership with hands-on automation. You will establish the test approach, build scalable automation frameworks, and help ensure AI-enabled solutions are secure, reliable, and production-ready.

You will lead test strategy, oversee delivery, and report on quality across CI/CD pipelines, applying AI-assisted testing tools and controls for generative AI.

Qualifications

• 8+ years leading test delivery, with strong hands-on automation and API testing skills.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Autonomous, proactive approach with minimal direction.
• Interest in using AI tools to improve test coverage, quality, and delivery speed.
• Experience in regulated environments such as insurance/financial services.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the programme’s test strategy, planning, delivery, and quality reporting.
• Build automated test frameworks using Playwright with TypeScript or C#/.NET.
• Manage API, integration, workflow, application, and AI testing across CI/CD pipelines.
• Apply AI‑assisted testing tools and appropriate controls for generative AI and autonomous agents.
• Define quality gates, manage defects and risks, and support secure, reliable releases.
• Collaborate with technical and business teams to continuously improve delivery.

About You

• 8 or more years of experience leading test delivery, with strong hands‑on automation and API testing skills.
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines.
• A proactive and autonomous approach, with the ability to work with minimal direction and challenge existing practices.
• A strong interest in using AI tools to improve test coverage, quality, and delivery speed.
• Experience within insurance, financial services, or another highly regulated environment.
• Experience with Salesforce/Agentforce, Temporal or similar platforms, AI testing, and performance or security testing would be advantageous.
