Thinkproject is seeking an Automation QA Engineer to join our QA team in a hybrid setup in Auckland. You will automate Web UI end-to-end tests with Playwright, API tests for REST services, and Mobile UI tests with Detox, while contributing to load testing with k6 and CI/CD integration using Azure DevOps.

The role blends hands-on automation with manual testing during releases, requiring strong programming fundamentals and collaboration with developers and product teams to ensure quality across

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of hands-on automation testing across Web, API, and Mobile platforms.
• Solid manual testing skills, especially for exploratory and E2E regression testing.
• Strong coding skills in TypeScript or JavaScript; experience with modern automation frameworks.
• Good understanding of REST API testing strategies.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools, especially Azure DevOps.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and business domains.

Responsabilités

• Develop and maintain reliable, scalable automation scripts for Web UI, API, and Mobile platforms.
• Create and run Web UI E2E automation using Playwright and API automation for REST endpoints.
• Implement mobile UI E2E automation on iOS/Android using Detox.
• Perform load/performance testing based on product requirements using k6.
• Collaborate with developers and product teams to understand features and define test coverage.
• Execute manual testing during release cycles to ensure regression stability and readiness.
• Design, review, and maintain test cases (manual & automated).
• Contribute to test planning, defect triaging, and reporting; integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Prepare test data and validate environments; troubleshoot automation failures and propose improvements.
