Job summary

Planit Testing in Wellington is seeking a Quality Engineer Lead to drive mobile, API, UI and database testing across client projects. You will lead testing teams, shape test strategies, and collaborate with clients to ensure high-quality software delivery.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with Mobile app testing.
• Solid experience with API, Database, UI testing.
• Experience leading testing teams and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration to define test cases and acceptance criteria.
• Consulting role requiring adaptability and client-facing collaboration.
• Familiarity with test management tools (e.g. Jira, ADO) is a plus.

• Identify and apply tools to assist with the acceleration of quality
• Create comprehensive test assets in the appropriate tools relevant to test conditions
• Utilise appropriate tools to execute test cases and report results
• Raise, track and close defects
• Be a good communicator, able to collaborate with client teams, people to define test cases and acceptance criteria
• Enjoy change and new challenges. This is a Consulting role
• Be passionate about quality practices within IT delivery

As a Quality Engineer Lead, we expect you to possess a high level of knowledge and exposure across various software development lifecycle models and have the ability to accelerate quality with the application of appropriate tools and approaches.

This is a Wellington based role and Wellington market experience preferred.
