Job summary

Aderant is seeking an Intermediate Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable cloud-based applications using TypeScript, Node.js and React in Auckland, New Zealand.

You will contribute across the full SDLC, collaborate in an Agile team, own features end-to-end, and apply AI-driven approaches to improve development speed and quality. This role emphasizes strong ownership and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of software development experience.
• Proficient in modern web apps with TypeScript.
• Backend services using Node.js (Express/Nest a plus).
• Frontend UI with React and API design experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs.
• Build responsive UI with React and integrate with backend.
• Own features from design through production and contribute to CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with Product, QA, and engineering to deliver quality solutions.
• Write clean, testable code and participate in code reviews.
• Troubleshoot issues in development and production environments.
