Job summary

Vista is seeking a Junior Frontend Software Engineer in Auckland, New Zealand, to join an experienced engineering team. You will contribute to React-based applications across web, mobile, and kiosk platforms, ensuring high quality code while learning and growing toward an intermediate level role.

You will work with JS/TypeScript, React, CSS/SCSS, HTML, and frontend test suites, while expanding skills in React Native, CapacitorJS/Ionic, C#/.NET Core and cloud concepts on Azure or AWS.

Qualifications

• Strong front-end capabilities with React, TypeScript and modern JS.
• Experience designing enterprise SaaS front-ends.
• Experience in mobile development with React Native and CapacitorJS/Ionic.
• Understanding of cloud concepts and security best practices.
• Knowledge of UX principles for web and mobile apps.
• Experience with Azure or AWS cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Work on large, interactive, customer-facing, React-based applications (web, mobile, and self-service kiosk).
• Master React to ensure front-end experiences are cutting edge and follow best practices.
• Collaborate on internal ecosystem of components and tools to accelerate development.
• Support high-quality solutions through training, documentation, code reviews and solution reviews.
