Job summary

Tenzing is seeking an experienced Microsoft Solution Architect to work with clients across New Zealand and Australia, translating business needs into scalable Microsoft-based solutions. You’ll lead architecture engagements across M365, Azure, SharePoint, Teams, and Power Platform, shaping strategy and fostering executive alignment.

You will facilitate workshops, guide delivery teams, and ensure governance, security, and data considerations are integrated into design.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering Microsoft solutions within consulting or complex enterprise environments.
• Ability to lead client-facing architecture engagements from discovery to delivery.
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture, security, governance, compliance, integration and identity management.
• Knowledge of data concepts including data integration, modelling, governance, metadata, quality, reporting and analytics.

We're looking for an experienced Microsoft Solution Architect who combines deep Microsoft technology expertise with strong consulting skills. This is a client-facing role where you'll work directly with organisations across New Zealand and Australia, helping them shape technology strategy, solve complex business challenges, and deliver modern Microsoft-based solutions.

You’ll be equally comfortable facilitating executive workshops, developing architecture roadmaps, advising senior stakeholders, and guiding delivery teams through implementation. Most importantly, you'll know how to translate business needs into practical, scalable solutions that deliver measurable outcomes.

What you will do

• Partner with clients to understand business objectives and provide trusted technology and architecture advice.
• Lead solution architecture engagements across Microsoft 365, Azure, SharePoint, Teams, Power Platform, Copilot, Microsoft Fabric, Dynamics 365, and related Microsoft technologies.
• Design end-to-end solutions that balance business outcomes, user experience, security, governance, and scalability.
• Facilitate workshops and stakeholder engagements to shape solution direction, build alignment, and define architecture roadmaps.
• Provide architecture leadership throughout delivery, ensuring solutions align with Microsoft best practices and client transformation goals.

• Support pre-sales and solutioning activities by translating client requirements into pragmatic architecture options, estimates, assumptions, risks, and delivery approaches.

What we are looking for

• Proven experience as a Solution Architect delivering Microsoft solutions within consulting, professional services, or complex enterprise environments.
• Strong expertise across Microsoft 365, Azure, SharePoint Online, Teams, Power Platform, Copilot, Dynamics 365, and modern workplace technologies, with practical awareness of Microsoft Fabric and the broader Microsoft data platform.
• Demonstrated experience leading client-facing architecture engagements from discovery through to delivery.
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture, security, governance, compliance, integration, and identity management.
• Working knowledge of core data concepts including data integration, data modelling, data governance, metadata, data quality, reporting, analytics, and AI-ready data foundations.

• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence technical and business audiences at all levels.

• Ability to explain data platform choices clearly, including when to use lakehouse, warehouse, integration, reporting, and analytics patterns within a Microsoft architecture.
