Job summary

The Warehouse Group is seeking a Data Governance & Merchandise Systems professional to ensure accurate merchandise master data, governance, and system reliability across key platforms. You will support users, manage data quality, and work with Technology and Planning to streamline processes.

In this hybrid Auckland-based role, you’ll drive governance standards, enable system improvements, and partner with stakeholders to minimise business disruption while supporting merchandising operations.

Qualifications

  • Relevant qualification in Business, Commerce, Information Systems or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with master data, business systems or system administration in a retail/commercial environment.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, data quality and system processes.
  • Advanced Excel and confidence working across multiple systems.
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into clear guidance for stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate merchandise master data across key systems and drive data quality and governance standards.
  • Provide guidance and troubleshooting for merchandise systems and support users/top teams.
  • Manage system updates, hierarchy maintenance and user access, and support testing and upgrades.
  • Monitor data quality and system compliance, investigate issues and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Collaborate across Merchandise, Planning and Technology to resolve issues and improve processes.
  • Provide SME support for merchandise operational issues to minimise disruption.
  • Maintain and improve merchandise processes, controls and governance.
  • Support system enhancements, process changes and new functionality to meet business needs.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify processes and improve systems.
