Job summary

The Warehouse Group is seeking an Associate Merchandise Planner to join our Auckland team. You will work closely with Merchandise Planners, Buyers and cross-functional teams to drive forecasting, stock management and profitability across multiple categories.

You’ll turn data into actionable insights, support category planning, and help optimise stock and promotional decisions in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Confidence working with data and large datasets.
• Excel skills and a willingness to learn planning systems.
• Good commercial judgement and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Curiosity and a desire to understand what drives retail performance.
• The ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Support category and seasonal planning processes.
• Using reporting and insights to identify risks, opportunities and actions that improve category performance
• Develop forecasting, stock management, and inventory optimisation.
• Work with Buyers to monitor product performance and trading activity.
• Provide insights to support promotional, ranging, and replenishment decisions.
• Contributing to post-season reviews and planning cycles.
• Helping ensure stock is in the right place, at the right time, to meet customer demand.
