Job summary

MAS is seeking a Communications Specialist to join our Marketing team on a 13‑month fixed‑term contract. In this role, you'll help bring our purpose, voice and values to life through high‑quality communications that engage our Members and support a range of business initiatives.

The role can be based in Wellington or Auckland and reports to the Content Manager. You'll develop and deliver member‑focused content across channels, including email, web, social media and publications, while

Qualifications

3+ years in communications, content or marketing with a strong writing focus.
Exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills.
Experience creating content for multiple audiences and channels.
Knowledge of plain language principles and accessibility standards.
Experience using content management systems, email marketing platforms and digital publishing tools.
Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

Create, edit and proofread engaging content for Member communications, website articles and campaigns.
Coordinate and execute BAU communications and corporate initiatives such as the AGM and Annual Report.
Maintain MAS’s tone of voice and writing standards across all communications.
Work with marketing, product, digital and compliance stakeholders to deliver high-quality content.
Review and optimise communications to improve member engagement and effectiveness.
