Job summary

MAS is seeking a Communications Specialist to join our Marketing team on a 13-month fixed-term contract, based in Wellington or Auckland. You will help bring our purpose, voice and values to life through high-quality communications that engage our Members and support a range of business initiatives.

You will develop and deliver Member-focused content across email, web, social media and publications, write and edit content, coordinate campaigns, and ensure a consistent tone of voice.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in communications, content or marketing with writing focus.
• Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills.
• Experience creating content for multiple audiences and channels.
• Knowledge of plain language principles and accessibility standards.
• Experience using content management systems, email marketing platforms and digital publishing tools.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Create, edit and proofread engaging content for Member communications, website articles and campaigns.
• Coordinate, manage and execute business-as-usual communications and key corporate initiatives such as the AGM and Annual Report.
• Help maintain MAS's tone of voice and writing standards across all communications.
• Work closely with marketing, product, digital and compliance stakeholders to deliver high-quality content.
• Review and optimise communications to improve member engagement and effectiveness.
