Job summary

BD is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support pharmacy automation and medication management systems across New Zealand. Based in Wellington region with regular travel, you will diagnose, repair and maintain BD Rowa and Pyxis equipment on-site at hospitals and retail pharmacists.

You’ll work with advanced electro‑mechanical technology, performing diagnostics, software/hardware fixes and remote support. On-call rotations and after-hours work may be required to meet SLAs.

Qualifications

• Hands-on field service experience with electro‑mechanical systems.
• Experience servicing robotics, automation, packaging systems, lab instruments or similar.
• Strong diagnostic skills for hardware, software and networking.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve software and hardware issues onsite to minimise downtime.
• Provide technical support for BD Rowa and Pyxis equipment at customer sites.
• Perform field repairs, preventive maintenance and system testing.
• Support installations, commissioning and customer handover.
• Maintain compliant service records and documentation.
