Job summary

Becton Dickinson is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to support BD Rowa and Pyxis across New Zealand, based in Wellington or willing to relocate. You’ll diagnose, service and maintain automated systems in pharmacy and hospital environments.

Join a global medtech leader, travel across the North and South Islands, and contribute to medication safety through hands‑on engineering, remote diagnostics, and customer collaboration within a dynamic field team.

Qualifications

• Background in mechatronics, electro‑mechanical systems, electronics, automation, or lab/imaging equipment.
• Strong diagnostic skills across hardware, software and networks.
• Experience servicing complex systems at customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve software/hardware issues to minimise downtime.
• Provide technical support for BD Rowa and Pyxis capital equipment.
• Perform field repairs, preventive maintenance and system testing.
• Assist with installations, commissioning and customer handover.
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation with compliance.
