Placements24 is seeking a Mechanical Reliability Engineer to join our client’s technical team in Queenstown, Eastern Cape. You will lead reliability initiatives, apply condition monitoring, and perform RCFA to reduce downtime and maintenance costs while improving asset life.

You will collaborate with maintenance and operations, develop maintenance strategies, and maintain thorough technical documentation. A strong safety mindset and continuous improvement drive are essential.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical reliability engineering, maintenance, or similar in heavy industry (mining, manufacturing, energy).
• Experience with condition monitoring techniques and predictive maintenance tools.
• Strong knowledge of failure analysis methodologies and statistical analysis.
• Familiarity with CMMS such as SAP PM or similar.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional work.
• Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (Excel, Minitab).
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a demanding environment.
