Job summary

Stantec in New Zealand is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join the Buildings team, providing end-to-end mechanical engineering services for diverse projects including data centres, healthcare, and education. You will conduct site surveys, develop calculations and drawings, and contribute to proposals and budgeting.

Responsibilities

Conduct site surveys, field investigations and feasibility studies for proposed projects
Produce calculations, specifications, and drawings (concept, preliminary, developed and detailed designs), proposals, and reports to ensure that technical content will provide the appropriate solution, with guidance and input provided from more experienced staff
Maintain communication and develop ongoing contacts with clients as required
Contribute to proposal and bid development to support business development activities, including preparing proposal material, and fee estimates as required
Engage in providing budgeting and revenue expenditure input, and understand impact of work practices on the financial outcome of projects
